
| 20V rear wheel drive installs are becoming increasingly common, however to do so the conversion of the cooling system needs to be addressed. The parts here do this without modification to the engine and are known to work. Each of these parts have sub-sections for more information on them. |
20V COOLING KIT
TYPE-1![]() ![]() Added with heater option: ![]() Uses the original 20V half water pump front and back halves, pulleys, alternator and belts. So no changes to any mounting brackets or water pump to make this kit work.
![]() The good: When installed this is the single neatest and simplest kit available on the market anywhere. This is easy to fit and work on. Uses a Stant branded (USA made) thermostat featuring an internal water bleed for an internal bypass system. Outlet comes pre-assembled ready to be bolted straight onto the head. When wanted the heater is easy to connect. The bad: During fitment the alternator tensioner will need a small relief ground out of it (see pics). Also the original top hose from a 4age 16V upgrade can't be used although a replacement is available below for only $20 extra. ![]() The good: Most cost effective kit available anywhere as well as being easy to fit and work on. Made not suit a common Corolla external thermostat (not normally supplied). Outlet comes pre-assembled ready to be bolted straight onto the head. When wanted the heater is easy to connect. Has easy connection for bypass pipe. The bad: Does not suit the original radiator hoses, will require more hoses in the engine bay as well as room for the external thermostat. | Custom made clutch lines to
suit AE's, KE's & RA's (CL-01): This is a clear coated stainless steel braided clutch line with a Banjo fitting on the end for the clutch slave and a normal fitting on the other. This gets around the problem of extractors fouling/burning the original rubber line with any 4age conversion. These lines are guaranteed to clear all extractor models and last for years to come. Coil-pack/COP Adapter plates (CP-01): This adapter plate bolts directly to an unmodified 20V black or silvertop's cam cover. It then allows two potential types of on-plug coils off later model Toyota engines to be bolted down neatly and securely. |

suit 20V engines: Coils sourced from the Toyota Yaris that have been modified to fit down the spark plug tubes of the 20V engine. Each supplied with a plug and enough lead for easy connection. |

(PB-01): Used as part of the rear wheel drive conversion of the 4AGE 20V engines cooling system. Used with a RWD block mounted thermostat housing and for the purpose of either having an outlet for a heater or as a block-off flange for without. |
