the original 4age 20V airbox being physically incompatible in a rear
wheel drive format it leaves only a few aftermarket airbox options,
all of them quite expensive. The adapter shown here uses a lid off a
Nissan plenum with a simple and easy to install adapter plate. With the
internal radii it also negates the need for any velocity stacks. Suitable for boosted & atmo, left & right hand drive and with the option of the heater tap still in place. These can also be fitted upside down to be used in front wheel drive and other installs. |

This adapter plate comes with:
- Adapter plate: silvertop and blacktop both available. - Bolts: stainless steel dome head for inside and out (18 in total). - Gasket: Supplied with either a custom made gasket from a high temperature oil and resistant rubber or the plate itself has a recessed O-ring. Pic (top): Plate as bolted to a silvertop engine, this model currently uses a recessed one piece O-ring, however the new model uses a custom gasket. Pic (2nd from top): As fitted to a turbo 20V engine. Pic (3rd from top): Inside transition, much care was taken to have an ideal radius and intake transition into each throttle. Pic (bottom): Test fitted to an Arrow Clubman, with one change to the end of the lid the airbox would clear the bonnet and both master cylinders. |
